Prayer warriors,

Please be in prayer for a friend of mine. He was taken to the hospital this morning after he got sick and his heart stopped for a brief period of time. He is already doing better but he and his family needs our prayers!

Please be in prayer for him (God knows who he is) and leave a note of encouragement here to let him know that his brothers and sisters in Christ are interceding in prayer for him!

Be careful not to be envious of what the wicked have. Be concerned with what they do NOT have. They don't have Jesus Christ. We should feel the need to share Christ with them.

The lost, who do not know Christ, have no desire to please Him. They live for themselves. They spend their life pursuing material gain and pleasing their fleshly desires.

They do this because it is all they know. They can enjoy this life, but will face eternity in hell if they do not accept God's grace.

Pastor Greg Laurie, the 2013 Honorary Chairman has written a special prayer to be simultaneously read throughout the nation at noon (EDT). This recitation will create a huge wave of prayer, flowing from one coast to the other, illustrating the unity of God’s people and acknowledging His dominion over the circumstances facing us. . . .

Father, we come to You to pray for our nation, the United States of America.

“How You have blessed us through the years, Lord! We rightly sing, ‘America, America, God shed His grace on thee.’ Yet we see trouble in our culture today. We see the breakdown of the family, crippling addictions, and random acts of horrific violence.

“Lord, we need your help in America. In recent days, we have done our best to remove your Word and Your counsel from our courtrooms, classrooms and culture. It seems, as President Lincoln once said, that we have ‘forgotten God.’ But Lord, You have not forgotten us! You can bless and help and revive our country again.

“Scripture tells us that ’Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people’ (Proverbs 14:34). Lord in Your mercy, we ask that You would exalt our country again. We have had a number of great awakenings in America. We have experienced times of refreshing, and revivals that changed not only the spiritual but also the moral landscape. As the psalmist said, ‘Will You not revive us again, so that Your people may rejoice in You?’ (Psalm 85:6).

“This is our prayer for America today, Lord. Send a mighty spiritual awakening that will turn the hearts of men and women, boys and girls back to You. You have told us if we humble ourselves and pray, and seek Your face and turn from our wicked ways, that You will forgive our sins and heal our land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

“Forgive us today, Lord, and heal this troubled land that we love so much.

“We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ.”

Topic: How to build a child's faith?

In my opinion, the most in important thing we can do to build our child's faith is to let them see our faith. It's easy for us to want to teach them about God and Jesus Christ.

We can read them Bible stories and have them active in the Church, but if we are not living our lives for Christ and being the people you want them to become, your effort is wasted. It goes back to the old saying "practice what you preach".

Ask yourself, and ask God to reveal to you; are you just telling them to follow Christ, or are you showing them how to?

I recently posted the following image to Facebook which a lot of people liked, shared, and commented on.
Children follow Christ
One of our Facebook followers asked a question which I decided to post here for everyone's benefit. Lets all help her out!

Her question:
"What are some of the things that parents can do daily to build a child's faith?"

Welcome Guest,

I'm sorry to hear you are going through this trial. The good new is, Christ will help you through it and give you the strength to preserve through the persecution you are facing.

In John 15:19 we read Jesus saying “If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of it, the world hates you.”

Be glad that part of the world hates you because Jesus has chosen you! Ask God daily to renew your strength, hold your head up high and let His love show through you!
